Trixie is 8 Weeks Post-Surgery and Doing Great!

Trixie is nearly 8 weeks post-surgery. Her physical therapist says she’s progressing very well and is ready to move on to more advanced exercises, such as climbing up on platforms (stairs are not an issue for this girl)! Trixie still needs to build back muscle in her right hind leg, which is two and a half inches smaller in circumference than her left hind leg, as well as build up her endurance. She’s a motivated patient, so we expect she’ll continue to make great progress with the help of her vet, physical therapist, and fosters. Here is Trixie patiently waiting for her shower, and cuddling with her foster sister.

Aden's Raffle - Win a Week in Cabo San Lucas!

Aden became extremely sick while in foster care. An emergency trip to the vet revealed that he had a hole in a lung lobe. Without immediate surgery Aden would not have survived. Fortunately, Aden had been rescued by Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and the surgery was approved. Aden is now on the mend and would like to help by raising money to cover his medical bills. This will allow other dogs to be rescued and to become Lucky Dogs too!

Trixie is Getting Back to Her Old Self!

Trixie has undergone extensive physical therapy and is continuing to recover from her hip surgery. Despite significant atrophy in her back right leg, Trixie's very determined spirit is always up for an adventure while out on walks. She is having a good time with her two- and four-legged foster family, and is a happy participant in a fun game of tug-o-war, however exhausting it may be! Trixie is a wonderful sport and likes to cuddle and love on both her furry friends as well as her people friends.
