Lucky Cats Fred and Daphne Have Upper Respiratory and Eye Infections!

Fred and Daphne, two of our sweet Lucky Cats, arrived in Northern Virginia about three weeks ago. At first, they were happy and healthy; however, soon after their transport from North Carolina, they developed Upper Respiratory Infections (URIs). Antibiotics are typically effective at treating URIs quickly. But, these Lucky Cats have had a rough transition and have also developed severe eye infections - some of the worst our vet had seen in kittens. Poor Fred & Daphne have been through numerous vet appointments, tests, and are given eye drops every two hours. Initially, the vet was concerned that they may need eye surgery, or even lose their eyes. Thank goodness they got the care they needed in time, as they have greatly improved, and we do not think they will need surgery! Their emergency care has cost Lucky Dog a lot! Please consider donating to help us cover these costs, so we can continue to help Lucky Cats and Dogs in need of critical care!
